New mixed use development on Drimnagh Road

Cantrell Crowley Architects are delighted to be part of the design team for the construction of a new mixed use development on Drimnagh Road, on behalf of our client On Track Developments. The four storey development, currently under construction by Dabrena Construction Ltd., consists of a retail unit to ground floor with 14 apartments (twelve no. two bed and two no. one bed) on the upper three levels. Each apartment has a private balcony and access to a landscaped terrace located on the third floor with views of the Dublin Mountains. Apartments also have secure car parking to the rear of the site, with additional car spaces designated to the retail unit located along the side of the building.

The building scale, selected finishes and associated site works have been carefully designed to complement the existing streetscape whilst protecting the privacy and residential amenity of the adjacent properties.

The project, which was granted permission by An Bord Pleanala in October 2017, commenced on site on in May of this year. The construction works are progressing well on site, with the precast frame now fully installed and the project reached roof level in September. The project is due for completion in May 2020, with the developer intending that all 14 apartment units will be leased and operated by an approved housing association.
